Among above researchers,E.Ranesh Babu,K.M.Mallesh,Poorna Prajna,K.Sridhar,Jairaj were conferred Ph .D degree from V TU, Belgaum
Mr.Chethan Kumar, Mr.Athiqulla - have completed Openn Seminar -2 as on September 2022 & Mrs.Ghazaka Anjum - Open seminar -1 ,where in Mr. Jaswanth Gowda completed his comprehensive Viva in the process of attaining Ph.D from VTU, Belgaum.

Projects:
R & D Research Grant of Rs.14.78 Lakhs was sanctioned during Jan.2010 for the Research project Entitled “Monotonic & Cyclic behavior of Composite Steel Columns” by VTU, Belgaum. Dr. N.S. Kumar, Prof. carried out this research project as Principal Investigator with Dr. Mohamed Ilyas Anjum , Prof. and Dr. M.T. Prathap Kumar, former Prof. as Co-Investigators. The project was completed during March 2014 and Closure report was submitted to VTU during April 2014. More than 15 research papers were published based on this research including two at World / International conferences held at Shanghai, China 2011 and Lisbon, Portugal 2012 by Dr N S Kumar,Director ( R& D)
Facilities:
The R & D centre is equipped with 2000KN Cyclic loading Machine including modern testing facilities for carrying out research. Subscription for VTU Consortium consisting of thousands of international journals has been secured for facilitating research.
Post Graduate Students Participation:
More than 10 M. Tech. projects have been carried out using these facilities and papers have been published in the National/International conferences and Journals. Presently more than 12 M. Tech. students are using these facilities for their project works.
Future Prospects:
Efforts are being made to extend the research in cutting edge areas like: Nano Civil Engineering materials, Steel composite tubes subjected to Elevated Temperatures, developing Numerical modeling using ABACUS, NASTRAN etc., to validate the experimental results. Also, efforts are made to get Micro UTM and SEM facilities from the research funds. Research Scholars are being encouraged to present and publish research papers at National/International Conferences with Partial financial sponsorship. They are also encouraged to visit different countries to present papers. They are advised to publish papers in peer reviewed national and international journals.
